Mr & Mrs Thompson from Pangbourne

"The build team were outstanding."

1) What was your reason for wanting a loft conversion?

We purchased the house with the intention of extending the space – there was plenty of head-height in the loft and the area was huge. Whilst the house was big enough, the loft seemed like such a waste of space, it was crying out to be used!

2) Why did you choose Crown Lofts to convert your loft?

Tom put us at ease from the outset. We did speak to other loft conversion companies, but none seemed to offer the peace of mind that Crown did. Although they weren’t the cheapest, the reassurance that the build wouldn’t encroach on our every-day lives until the stairs went in, helped us decide. I would like to have seen some more examples of their work and read some more references, but I can see that this is now available.

3) What are your thoughts on their customer service?

We were kept up-to-date throughout the build. The build team were outstanding, even responding to texts in the evening and weekends. I realise that sometimes customer service and actual work (the build) can sometimes be a bit hit-and-miss, but that wasn’t our experience at all. I can’t praise them enough.

4) Did the quality of the build live up to your expectations?

It exceeded our expectations. I remember coming home the day that the wall to our new hall was removed and the stairs/landing & vaulted ceilings were exposed – we had no idea it would look so good!

5) How do you feel now that your Loft conversion is complete?

It’s changed the whole feel of the house and the way we live in it. I guess the only thing I’d change is the size of the two en-suite shower rooms; Roy is forever hitting his head! That being said, if we had had the shower rooms elsewhere, the spacious open-plan feeling of the bedrooms would have been affected.

6) Would you recommend Crown lofts?
